-HOW TO MAKE- Marble and Tiles Bases

HI ALL!

Today i want to show you a very simple procedure that i use for making tiles bases...

The only "strange" tool you need is a Leather Piercer...

You can find it on almost every supermarket or E-Shop and it's a very cheap tool...

PS:  i use it also to make rivets ;)

OKAY! LET'S START!!! :)

First of all i've used a plastic base to draw the circles needed...
(In this example i've used a "soft" 2mm plasticard)

...Then i've drawn the tiles pattern...

...At this point i've used the leather piercer with a soft pressure (because i want to texturize not to pierce the plasticard) and a sculpting tool to carve the lines...

And that's the result...... :D

I've filed to round the edges and i've painted them :D

I hope you enjoyed this simple tutorial and that will help you to realize your bases!

SEE YOU SOON!!! :)

-WIP- Imperial Guard Regimental Advisor: ASTROPATH

Hi all!

Was a long time since i wanted to buy an astropath, but i never wanted to wait for the mail order because when i decide to have a model, i want to have it immediately! ahahaha!

So I made a visit to the Games Workshop store in my town and i started to look for a model that could become a astropath ...

After half an hour between blister and boxes (and screaming kids :V ) i finally saw a model that was right for me ... a Warhammer Fantasy Battle Warrior Priest!

As soon as i got home i immediately put him  "under the knife" :)

I removed the original feet and i've replaced them with boots of a Cadian Guardsman

after which i removed the head with the dremel and i glued a scrap of resin to be used as a basis for green stuff.

I modeled the hood and the lens of the gas mask with the green stuff, and i applied the gas mask coming from the sprue of the Imperial Guard command squad

Once dry, i added some guitar strings and a small piece of plasticard for the bionic prosthesis of the right eye

I glued a laspistol on the left hand, and i made the stick with a nemesis warding stave coming from the Grey Knights sprue

after adding extra equipment, this was the result!

So far he looks like a model of the Imperial Guard Renegades...
...I will try to make it loyalist with painting ahaha!!!

PS: i want to dedicate this conversion to all friends from the blog "l'astropate" for the hard work they constantly make for us community of 40k :)

Thanks for reading!!!!!

-WIP- Imperial Guard Commissar Pt 1

Hello everyone!
I'm still working on my Imperial guard, and since I'm not a very experienced player, I was advised to use a commissar in the infantry platoon.

I immediately set to work!

This is a very simple conversion, but once painted in my opinion is very nice along with the rest of the army.

I chose the torso of the Tank Commander.

I separated from the rest with a hacksaw and i sandpapered to make it fit with legs.

I used the metal head of PIG IRON PRODUCTION, which I think was perfect for this model.

The right arm was derived using the arm from heavy weapons sprue (mortar servant)
The left arm is that who originally carries the sergeant chainsword, and the bolt pistol is from space marines scouts sprue...

I pinned and glued all components.

Now it's green stuff time :D

I sculpted the shoulder pads like those of real military officers
I also sculpted the band like such as that used the officers when I was a conscript

(ps: I have been in the army in the true 157 ° Infantry Regiment in the far 2000! haha)

This is the result...

Thanks for reading!
Now it's time for Pt 2... PAINTING!

-WIP- Nurgle Hellbrute

Hi all!!!

Every time i made a conversion, lot of green stuff remains unused so, little by little, i've created a nurgle hellbrute!

I made this model just for fun and because i don't want to trash my greenstuff so it tooks about 1 month for build it, because i've used only small pieces of unused greenstuff at a time

I started with an old plastic space marines dreadnought and some chaos space marines bits.
I will paint it while waiting for the washing to dry on my iron warriors ahaha!!!

I hope you'll like it!

See you soon!

-WIP- Nurgle Blight Drone pt3

Hi all!

I'm still working on my blight drones...

I started to to make some textures on the propellers with liquid green stuff.
I drybrushed also the entire body with liquid green stuff.

This will serve as filler for scratches and fingerprints on milliput (it will also add some texture).

Then i added some details on propellers (and greenstuffed them as above)

At this point, my drones needs some wicked weapons!

With plasticard, copper tube and greenstuff, i made the "Mawcannon" and a sort of Autocannon, then i've applied them to the main body.

With liquid green stuff, i made some corrosion effects on weapons...

Then I added some old bass strings.

The Drones are almost done, i've to make a nice base for them...
I want to make some effects, to rapresent some slimy fluid exiting from their tails...

You'll see it in pt4 :P

Thanks for reading!!!!
