-SHOWCASE- The Ninth Age Empire of Sonnstahl Quick Starter Army

Hi all!

A couple of month ago,i was searching for some ideas and i accidentally entered a forum named "The ninth Age" and i found that some peoples was revamping the old Wahammer Fantasy!

There i found lots of amazing conversions, a great community and a ton of pictures about lovely old armies!!!
( i afterwards discovered that this project is alive from many years hehe!!! )

So i decided to remove the dust from my old Empire Army and build and paint a small force for The Ninth Age Quick Starter games.

That's the result...
I hope you like it  ;)

-HOW TO MAKE- Swamp Bases

Hi all and welcome back again! :)

I apologize for being away from blog for this long time but i got a "work upgrade",  i changed home (and many other positive things) so i had the necessity to pause from blogging and dedicate myself to other activities,

But nothing can stop me from painting and in this year i've generated a ton of material that augurably i'll show you on next posts :)

But, as i promised one year ago, here's how i make swamp bases! :)

As usual.... LET'S START!!!!

For making swamp bases i use few simple materials, most of them are found in nature for example, foliage, little pieces of wood and stones.

But the most important thing in a respectable swamp is: MOSS!

For making moss i use 3 simple ingredients:

-Vinyl Glue
-Water
-Sponge grass

and for modulate colour:

-Acrylic paints

The process for making a nice moss is very simple...
Just mix Water, glue and grass together

...and add some acrylic paints to adjust colour for your necessities:

That's the result

---TIPS:  after your moss will dry, it will be darker than the wet mixture!---

Then i applied the mix with a brush, and i added some water effects, stones and wood

And that's the result:

I hope you enjoyed this brief tutorial!

SEE YOU SOON!!! :)

-HOW TO MAKE- Marble and Tiles Bases

HI ALL!

Today i want to show you a very simple procedure that i use for making tiles bases...

The only "strange" tool you need is a Leather Piercer...

You can find it on almost every supermarket or E-Shop and it's a very cheap tool...

PS:  i use it also to make rivets ;)

OKAY! LET'S START!!! :)

First of all i've used a plastic base to draw the circles needed...
(In this example i've used a "soft" 2mm plasticard)

...Then i've drawn the tiles pattern...

...At this point i've used the leather piercer with a soft pressure (because i want to texturize not to pierce the plasticard) and a sculpting tool to carve the lines...

And that's the result...... :D

I've filed to round the edges and i've painted them :D

I hope you enjoyed this simple tutorial and that will help you to realize your bases!

SEE YOU SOON!!! :)

-SHOWCASE- Dark Angels Ravenwing Bike

Hi all!

During these summer holidays i decided to pull out the Dark Vengeance box because i wanted to paint some dark angels.
I did not remember how beautiful was the sprue and at first look i immediately saw the ravenwing bikes and i wanted to paint one.

Before starting to paint i made an extension to original mufflers with plasticard (they looks better)

I glued the finished bike on a desert base,in order to highlight the dark colors of the ravenwing.

Thats the result for my test model.
i hope you like it!

-SHOWCASE- Space Marines (Salamanders) Sergeant

Hi all!!!

As you may have guessed, i am a great lover of painting and modeling rather than the game (even if one day a week is dedicated to the game :) )

For this reason i often tend to jump from one project to another, and I find myself with a thousand half-painted armies

SO..... I'm back to my old salamanders, which I think is one of the most fascinating and mysterious chapters of all the Imperium.

This is one of my last finished works!

I really like to paint dirty and weathered armours, demonstrating the hard life on the battlefields of the 41st millennium

This is also a little taste of my land raider which is still a work in progress (but is almost complete)

See you soon!!!!

-SHOWCASE- Skaven Lord Skrolk

Hello everyone!

Lately i've felt the need to paint something new because i'm a little 'bored to paint vehicles and power armours...

In my opinion, working on new models, improves painting techniques, because you discover new forms and new shades of color.

So i decided to paint a model i had in the house for many years, a Skaven!

The color scheme is not 'very different from the models of Nurgle i painted before, but, accustomed to paint power armours and vehicles, i must admit that the first approach to the flesh, wood and fabrics, it was not easy for me.

Armed with patience and confidence, i completed my first Skaven!

I was born and grew up in a port town ... I love rats! ahahaha

I hope you like it!

As always ....Thanks for reading!

-SHOWCASE- Imperial Guard Chimera

Hi all!
A friend gave me an unpainted chimera from his collection so i decided to work on a model that i've never painted before... The imperial guard Chimera!
First of all i removed all lasguns from the hull because i hate them (ahaha) so i made a conversion with some plasticard.
Because it's meant to be used with Armoured Battlegroup from Imperial Armour Vol 1, i've removed multilaser from the turret and i've glued an autocannon.
The top hatch has been replaced with that of the space marines vehicles (it looks better for me)
I worked some days and this is the result!
Hope you like it!
See you soon!

-WIP- Chaos Space Marines Warpsmith- pt2

Hi all!!!!

It's time for part two!!!

After washing the whole model with Nuln Oil...

...I've added "Iron Warriors" colours on his tabard, and some details with vallejo liquid gold...

I made some rusty effects with a sponge imbued with AK Interactive rust streaks.

Then i re-washed everything with oil paints. (50%black 50% brown, thinned with white spirit)

Meanwhile i've painted his base with scorched brown and some drybrushed bleached bone.
Boltgun metal on metal scraps...

I've highlighted with Vallejo Silver Metallic (Model Air)

And i've finally glued both arms...

So i've fixed the model to his base with metallic pins...

Part three coming soon!
...With high definition pictures of completed model!

Thanks for reading...
