-HOW TO MAKE- Swamp Bases
Hi all and welcome back again! :)
I apologize for being away from blog for this long time but i got a "work upgrade", i changed home (and many other positive things) so i had the necessity to pause from blogging and dedicate myself to other activities,
But nothing can stop me from painting and in this year i've generated a ton of material that augurably i'll show you on next posts :)
But, as i promised one year ago, here's how i make swamp bases! :)
As usual.... LET'S START!!!!
For making swamp bases i use few simple materials, most of them are found in nature for example, foliage, little pieces of wood and stones.
But the most important thing in a respectable swamp is: MOSS!
For making moss i use 3 simple ingredients:
-Vinyl Glue
-Water
-Sponge grass
and for modulate colour:
-Acrylic paints
The process for making a nice moss is very simple...
Just mix Water, glue and grass together
...and add some acrylic paints to adjust colour for your necessities:
That's the result
---TIPS: after your moss will dry, it will be darker than the wet mixture!---
Then i applied the mix with a brush, and i added some water effects, stones and wood
And that's the result:
I hope you enjoyed this brief tutorial!

SEE YOU SOON!!! :)

-WIP- Imperial Guard Veterans
Hi all and welcome back!!!
I recently took a little pause from hobby, in order to do some works at home...
But as soon i finished, i immediately started to work on my models :)
I bought some heads and legs from Maxmini.eu and i assembled some veterans for my imperial guard.
Those bits are fantastics, they almost don't need to be cleaned nor sanded...
That's the results...
(As you can see, i love to put a lot of extra equipment on my soldiers (bags, binoculars grenades) :)
I hope you like them....
PS: i already started to paint them... I'll post some photos soon!!!
Thanks for reading!!!

-WIP- Imperial Guard Regimental Advisor: ASTROPATH
Hi all!
Was a long time since i wanted to buy an astropath, but i never wanted to wait for the mail order because when i decide to have a model, i want to have it immediately! ahahaha!
So I made a visit to the Games Workshop store in my town and i started to look for a model that could become a astropath ...
After half an hour between blister and boxes (and screaming kids :V ) i finally saw a model that was right for me ... a Warhammer Fantasy Battle Warrior Priest!
As soon as i got home i immediately put him "under the knife" :)
I removed the original feet and i've replaced them with boots of a Cadian Guardsman
after which i removed the head with the dremel and i glued a scrap of resin to be used as a basis for green stuff.
I modeled the hood and the lens of the gas mask with the green stuff, and i applied the gas mask coming from the sprue of the Imperial Guard command squad
Once dry, i added some guitar strings and a small piece of plasticard for the bionic prosthesis of the right eye
I glued a laspistol on the left hand, and i made the stick with a nemesis warding stave coming from the Grey Knights sprue
after adding extra equipment, this was the result!
So far he looks like a model of the Imperial Guard Renegades...
...I will try to make it loyalist with painting ahaha!!!
PS: i want to dedicate this conversion to all friends from the blog "l'astropate" for the hard work they constantly make for us community of 40k :)

-WIP- Imperial Guard Commissar #2
Hi all!
I usually buy a lot of miniatures and i leave them in the closet, until i have "modelling inspirations" :)
So in this weekend, i decided to remove the dust from my commissar and make this simple conversion.
At first i've removed his head with dremel, trying to leave the hat undamaged so it can be re used on the new face.
Then i took a standard Kolony Militia head (from Pig iron Production) and i trimmed the helmet leaving the gas mask, on which I glued the hat of the Finecast Commissar.
(I also had to rebuild some details with green stuff)
The right arm was made using a modular mechanical arm from Anvil Industry on which i glued a bolt pistol from space marines sprue.
(I covered the space between the torso and the arm using an old guitar string)
This is the result after assembling all components and after adding extra equipment.
I have to paint it as soon as possible, do not want to be summarily executed! ahaha!

-REVIEW- Anvil Industry Ltd
Hi all!
Today I want to show you some items for sale at ANVIL INDUSTRY LTD, an online store that I found by accident while looking for some parts for my conversion ...
As soon as I saw the first pictures, I fell in love immediately!
His website is very simple and "clean", and all objects are grouped by category.
Here you can find all kinds of components, shoulder pads, heads, arms, legs, weapons and dozens of accessories, from optics for rifles to cloacks ...
So i purchased a few items to taste the quality of the resin and to see the accuracy of the molds....
The package arrived in a few days and each component is sealed in small envelopes and all the pieces inside were counted perfectly
.......When i opened the package i thought: WOOOOW!
The first thing you'll notice is the cleanliness and precision of molds, just clean them with a brush or a sharp blade and the piece is ready for assembly.
Do not even need washing with soap, because the mold is not greasy.
Some time ago I bought a few pieces on ebay and I noticed that has changed the mixture of resin, which now turns out to be even more accurate and robust.
The scale of the components matches perfectly with 28mm and is easily combined with all the elements in plastic or metal to create unique miniatures.
One of the things that fascinated me the most, was the modular kit for arms.
With this kit you can reposition the arms in the pose you prefer and give the model a unique dynamicity
Accessories for weapons are fantastic, there is no limit to combinations...
Thanks to its components have created many fantastic looking miniatures!
In conclusion, i recommend anyone to visit his website ...
It 'an inexhaustible source of ideas!
PS: on his facebook page there are lot of images and news about new projects!
Thanks for reading, and thanks to Anvil Industry!!!
